Partner
Experience
Kent Minnette is a partner at Taylor, Minnette, Schneider & Clutter, where he focuses on litigation, municipal law, estate planning and administration, and business law. He enjoys the challenges of trial practice and the opportunity to serve clients in meaningful ways.
Education & Memberships
A Covington native, Kent graduated from Hanover College in 1993 and earned his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1998. He began practicing that same year in Illinois before being admitted to the Indiana bar in 1999. Inspired by his grandfather, James B. Wallace, and mentors throughout his education, Kent built his career on a foundation of service, integrity, and hard work. Outside the office, Kent is deeply involved in his community. He has served as a trustee on the Crawfordsville School Board since 2016, is a member of the Crawfordsville Rotary Club, attends St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, and coaches both football and baseball.
Family & Community Involvement
Kent and his wife, Erica, a fellow Hanover graduate, live in Crawfordsville with their four children: Reagan, Reese, Samuel, and Jason. In his free time, he enjoys family activities, coaching, reading, music, and playing the drums. Guiding mottos shape Kent’s approach to life and law: his father’s words, “Have fun, and learn a lot,” his college coach’s reminder, “All together, altogether better,” and his first boss’s advice, “Work hard, and do good work.”
