Meet Kent Minnette

Kent Minnette is a partner at Taylor, Minnette, Schneider & Clutter, where he brings passion, expertise, and dedication to every case he handles. Focusing on litigation, municipal law, estate planning and administration, and business law, Kent thrives on the challenges of trial practice and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact for his clients.

A native of Covington, Kent earned his undergraduate degree from Hanover College in 1993 and his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1998. He began practicing law in Illinois that same year before being admitted to the Indiana bar in 1999. Inspired by his grandfather, James B. Wallace, and mentors throughout his education, Kent has built his career on a foundation of service, integrity, and hard work.

Kent’s dedication extends far beyond the office. He has served as a trustee on the Crawfordsville School Board since 2016, is an active member of the Crawfordsville Rotary Club, attends St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, and coaches football and baseball. He is deeply committed to strengthening his community while guiding clients through complex legal matters.

Kent and his wife, Erica, a fellow Hanover graduate, live in Crawfordsville with their four children: Reagan, Reese, Samuel, and Jason. Outside of work, he enjoys family time, coaching, reading, music, and playing the drums. His approach to life and law is shaped by guiding mottos from mentors and family: “Have fun, and learn a lot,” “All together, altogether better,” and “Work hard, and do good work.”

With his combination of legal skill, community involvement, and genuine care for people, Kent Minnette exemplifies what it means to be a trusted attorney and neighbor.
