Meet Dan Taylor

Dan Taylor has been practicing law in Indiana since 1986 and is proud to be one of the founding members of Taylor, Minnette, Schneider & Clutter. Over nearly four decades, he has built a distinguished career focusing on municipal law, estate planning and administration, and civil litigation—helping clients navigate complex legal challenges with clarity and care.

Dan’s passion for law began in middle school, when a chance meeting with a law student left a lasting impression. That early experience, combined with his desire to help people and promote justice, set him on the path to becoming an attorney. Today, he still finds the most reward in helping clients face challenges and find solutions that work for them.

A graduate of Wabash College (1983) and The Dickinson School of Law (1986), Dan has always been committed not only to his clients but also to his community. He currently serves on the Board of the Southmont Athletics Hall of Fame, acts as a Class Agent for Wabash College, and is the Varsity Softball Head Coach at Southmont High School. Over the years, he has also contributed his time to the Boys & Girls Club, United Way, Family Crisis Shelter, and the Vanity Theater, coaching baseball and softball for more than 35 years.

Dan and his wife, Kelly, live near Crawfordsville with their two daughters, Maggie and Lillie. Outside the office, he enjoys coaching, reading, and spending time with family. His guiding principle as an attorney is simple but steadfast: learn the law, work hard, treat people well, and stay committed to making your community a better place to live and work.

Whether in the courtroom, the softball field, or the community, Dan Taylor’s dedication to his clients and neighbors reflects the heart of his practice: service, integrity, and a genuine commitment to helping others.
